Nouveau DIRECTEUR EXECUTIF pour la FRAO

Au terme du mandat de Mme. Ndeye Coumba FALL (Directrice Exécutive de la FRAO 2005 – 2014), le Conseil des Gouverneurs a recruté Dr. Mohamed B. KEBBEH comme nouveau Directeur Exécutif de la FRAO. Dr.  KEBBEH, qui a assuré le poste de Directeur Exécutif Adjoint (2013-2014) et l’intérim de Directeur Exécutif (Janvier 2015 - Avril 2016), a pris fonction le 01 Mai 2016.

Dr. Kebbeh, de nationalité Gambienne, est un agroéconomiste avec plus de 25 années d'expérience dans les domaines de la réduction de la pauvreté, le développement rural et la sécurité alimentaire en Afrique sub-saharienne.

Avant de rejoindre la FRAO en 2010 comme Responsable de programme, il a été chercheur visiteur, Postdoctoral fellow et Chercheur Principale à AfricaRice entre 1999 et 2007. Il a été aussi Chercheur Principal et Responsable de Programme au ‘National Agricultural Research Institute’ (NARI) en Gambie entre 1990 et 1999.


New Executive Director for WARF 

The Board of Governors of WARF has appointed Dr. Mohamed B. Kebbeh as its new Executive Director. His appointment follows the end of the mandate of Mrs. Ndeye Coumba FALL, who served the institution as Executive Director from 2005 to 2014.  Dr.  KEBBEH, who served as Deputy Executive Director from 2013-2014 and interim Executive Director from 2015 to 2016, assumed office in his new position as of 1st May 2016.

He is a Gambian national, and an agricultural economist with more than 25 years experience in the areas of poverty reduction, food security and rural/agricultural development in sub-Sahara Africa.

Prior to joining WARF as programme leader in 2010, he was respectively a visiting scientist, post-doctoral fellow and principal scientist at AfricaRice between 1999 and 2007. He was also a principal researcher and head of programmes at the National Agricultural Research Institute (NARI) in The Gambia between 1990 and 1999.
